Standard Widths of a Door and Hall

Question

Is there a standard width to a hallway? Also, I've got a 36" front entrance door, the rest are 32". Is there a reason to put a 36" door anywhere else?

Answer

I prefer 36" doors for entrances. They usually cost the same as 32" and 34", but give you that added extra room to move in furniture and appliances. The standard door size for bedrooms and other interior doors is 30". A hallway should ideally be 38", 36" minimum.
